How does pawning work?

Your pawned collateral will be valued by our staff before a loan amount is given based on the current gold market rates. Please bring along your NRIC/Passport once the loan amount is agreed upon, and all customers that engage in pawnbroking service must be at least 18 years of age or older. Thereafter, our staff will record your information and issue a pawn ticket with 6 months validity .

A standard monthly interest rate of 1.5% or 2% per month is charged based on the loan amount.

We understand that you may have forgotten or may not be able to redeem your pawned gold at the end of 6 months due to your tight schedule or commitments. Therefore, we will always notify you via phone text messages or calls before an upcoming auction. You can either redeem your valuables or renew your pawn ticket for a further 6 months. For renewal, you would need to pay for the interest due before an extension of 6 months is given.

You may redeem your pawned gold at the respective outlet that you have pawned during the outlet’s working hours within the 6 months timeframe. A monthly interest of 1.5% or 2% would be chargeable before the pawned gold is being redeemed back. For redemption, please bring along the pawn ticket that is issued to you and also bring along your identification, NRIC for the locals and passport for the foreigners. This is for verification purpose such that the person redeeming matches the person who have pawned it.

Pajaking, we only accept Gold and Rolex Watches at our outlets. For Gold, we will be accepting all types of gold – 24K, 23K, 22K, 18K, 9K, 999, 916, 835, 750, 585, 375, Suasa, etc

A process fees of RM0.50 will be charged for every pawn ticket that is issued. Besides the process fees, no other charges or hidden cost will be incurred.

All individuals with age over 18. We welcome individuals of all nationalities that are able to provide identification such as NRIC or Passport for verification purpose.

If you happened to misplace or lose your pawn ticket, fret not. At Evergreen Pajak Group, we will do verification such that the NRIC/Passport No. recorded on the pawn ticket matches the NRIC/Passport shown, henceforth, person with the wrong identification will not be able to redeem the valuables that you have pawned with us. Most importantly, please do give us a call at +6017 664 9990 immediately and we will assist you in re-issuing a new pawn ticket and we will void the lost/misplaced pawn ticket for redemption purpose. You may collect the newly issued pawn ticket at the outlet that you have pawned.

Pawnbroking licenses are under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government. Also, licensed pawnbrokers are to abide with the Law of Malaysia, in particularly Act 81 – Pawnbrokers Act. The Pawnbrokers Act has been in effect since 1972 and it is published by the Commissioner of Law Revision, Malaysia, under the authority of the Revision of Laws Act 1968, together in collaboration with Percetakan Nasional Malaysia Bhd.
